Yards of The Week for 2010

Text Box: “Yard of The Week”
May - June - July

The Chamber will recognize the most unique, colorful, variety of plants, unusual, well kept or beautiful yards during the summer months.

Here’s how it works. The town is divided into 4 sections. A few Chamber Members drive around taking pictures of the best looking yards in a different section of town each week. From several photos the Members pick 5 of the best yards. Then a different Member decides on the winning yard. There will be a different Member each week to judge the yards. A total of 12 yards will be winners during this event. Even though you may have a terrific back yard, the award is based on the front yard only.

The winner will have a sign placed in their yard that will remain for about 1 week. They will also have a photo of their yard on this page. Plus, they will be presented with a framed certificate.

You may nominate a yard by emailing a photo or calling us and we will take a photo for you. So, pick up those leaves and mow that lawn because we might be taking a picture of your yard next.

Due to logistics and time restraints, this event is confined to Cordell residents only.
